The School of Design organised Deekshaarambh–Adhyaay 2026 to introduce new students to industry expectations, creative thinking, design innovation, and career opportunities through expert interactions and academic orientation.

Presidency University's School of Design welcomed its 2026 batch through the Deekshaarambh–Adhyaay induction programme. The event brought together students, parents, faculty members, and industry professionals to introduce the academic environment and future learning opportunities.
Fashion consultant and design mentor Prasad Bidapa encouraged students to focus on creativity, originality, continuous learning, and innovation rather than following temporary trends. Discussions also highlighted the importance of preserving Indian crafts, cultural heritage, and traditional design practices while embracing modern technologies.
Students learned about industry-focused programmes, including masterclasses, workshops, studio visits, and the annual Flux design exhibition. The university also highlighted achievements such as student recognition at the India Best Design Awards, reflecting its commitment to practical learning and professional development.
